5 valid reasons why you want to make more sales + revenue in your social enterprise

If you're feeling shame around wanting to increase your sales and revenue in 2023, please don't.

There are lots of very valid and important reasons why you, the social impact business owner / social entrepreneur want to generate more money.

And it's ok to go for that goal.

Your first £10k month. Your first £100k year. Your first £20k client. Your first £300k year. Your first £50k investment. Your first £500k year!

It's all valid. It's all possible.

But you have to let go of the shame of wanting what you want for your business.

At the end of the day in a social enterprise model of business, more money and revenue nearly always means more impact can be delivered.

1. 💰You want to pay you and your team more.

Brilliant, why not. Every social entrepreneur deserves to be paid more for the transformational work they do in the world, fact! Theres no reason why your goal to make more sales / profit is to raise your teams salaries and income - that is making a difference!

2. 📊 You want more profit to invest into developing your business and its activities, to expand your team, to build capacity, or simply create more direct impact with the people and communities that matter most to you.

Absolutely, go for it!

3. ⚖ You're in a great funding arrangement where when you make more sales they match fund it, or invest more....again scaling your activity and impact.

Fabulous, you are literally a rockstar, lets make it happen!

4. 🦸‍♀️ You want to work with more people.

So....you can create more impact. Develop your craft. And be the go-to person in your industry and niche. Ofcourse you do, relationships and connections matter to you and you want to change more peoples lives....sales enable that, directly and indirectly. I love you for this (and your ambition...let's take over the world...in a good way, obvs!)

5. 😲 You aren't reaching your income goals yet or even really breaking even.

That's ok, and normal. But its totally possible, so I love the fact your prioritising sales so you can move on from this season of stagnation to one of growth and flourishing.
